Job summary

Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services, Inc. (Sunny Days) is seeking self-motivated clinicians to provide pediatric services across homes and community settings in Manhattan, Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Westchester County.

Applicants should hold a New York OT license and have pediatric or Early Intervention experience; training and mentorship are available, with flexible scheduling and opportunities to observe and work with families to reach developmental goals.

Qualifications

• New York OT license is required.
• Pediatric or Early Intervention experience preferred.
• Experience delivering services in home-based or community settings.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental screenings and provide Occupational Therapy services.
• Follow IFSP and develop methodologies for reaching each child’s goals.
• Coach families and caregivers on intervention strategies.
• Provide services in homes, daycare centers, and community settings.
• Ensure progress is generalized and caregivers are active participants.
• Prepare progress reports.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

$60-$70/half hour and $66-$72/hour

Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services, Inc. (Sunny Days) is a staffing agency that specializes in the areas of Early Intervention and Autism services, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental screening/assessments, provide Occupational Therapy services and consult with family members and other professionals working with the family
• Follow Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and develop methodologies for reaching each child’s specific developmental goals
• Coach family members and caregivers on various intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over in both home and at community settings
• Provide services in diverse settings such as homes, daycare centers, and/or other community settings
• Ensure that progress is generalized and caregivers are active participants in intervention through addressing specific goals, coaching sessions, and communication with the entire team
• Prepare progress reports
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements

• New York Occupational Therapy (OT) license
• Early Intervention Experience OR Equivalent Experience
• Pediatric Experience
• Home Based Service Delivery Experience (preferred)
• Strong Clinical & Interpersonal Skills
• Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills
