Job summary

Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services, Inc. (Sunny Days) seeks licensed Physical Therapists to deliver pediatric Early Intervention services in homes and community settings across New York.

You will assess, plan, and implement strategies to support developmental goals for infants and toddlers. Candidates must hold a New York PT license and have Early Intervention or pediatric experience, with home-based delivery preferred.

Qualifications

• New York Physical Therapy license required.
• Experience in Early Intervention or equivalent.
• Pediatric care experience.
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental screenings/assessments and provide Physical Therapy services.
• Follow IFSP and develop methodologies to reach each child’s goals.
• Coach families and caregivers on intervention strategies for home/community settings.
• Provide services in homes, daycare centers, and other community settings.
• Ensure progress generalization and caregiver involvement; communicate with the team.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain confidentiality of information.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental screening/assessments, provide Physical Therapy services, and consult with family members and other professionals working with the family
• Follow an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and develop methodologies for reaching each child’s specific developmental goals
• Coach family members and caregivers on various intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over in both home and community settings
• Provide services in diverse settings such as homes, daycare centers, and/or other community settings
• Ensure that progress is generalized and caregivers are active participants in intervention through addressing specific goals, coaching sessions, and communication with the entire team
• Prepare progress reportsMaintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (per HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• New York Physical Therapy (PT) license
• Early Intervention Experience OR Equivalent Experience
• Pediatric Experience
• Home Based Service Delivery Experience (preferred)
• Strong Clinical & Interpersonal Skills
