The Physical Therapist assesses patients, develops and implements treatment plans to promote healing, pain management, and functional independence. They document patient data, perform evaluations, select tests, and adjust care plans based on progress. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, educate patients and support systems, and oversee support staff such as PT aides and support personnel. The therapist provides musculoskeletal interventions, ensures treatment safety and compliance, and manages billing and documentation using EMR software.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate preferred), valid licensure, CPR certification, experience with EMR, excellent communication, clinical decision-making, teamwork, and professionalism. Preferred experience includes 1-2 years in a similar role, with strong work ethic and dedication to patient success.
Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, provide therapies, educate patients, monitor progress, refer to other healthcare professionals as needed, and oversee support staff. Participate in community outreach and continuous professional development.
