Job summary

STAT Home Health in Natchitoches, LA is hiring a PRN Physical Therapist. The role requires Louisiana PT licensure, CPR, and at least one year of experience, with preference for home health background.

You will work with physicians and nurses to evaluate function, develop plans of care, and support patient recovery. The position offers part-time hours, scheduling flexibility, mileage reimbursement, and an ESOP ownership plan, making you part of the company’s ownership.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of PT experience.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician in evaluating patient’s functional status and PT needs; help develop the plan of care.
• Provide PT services within scope and plan of care; coordinate with health team.
• Observe and report patient response to treatment to physician and RN.
• Prepare written summaries to physician at least every two months.
• Set rehab goals for patients.
• Guide patients in therapeutic and self-care activities to improve function.

Job Duties:

• Assist the physician in evaluating the patient’s functional status and physical therapy needs, and assist in the development of the plan of care
• Provide services within the scope of practice as defined by the state laws governing the practice of physical therapy, in the accordance with the plan of care, and in coordination with other members of the health care team
• Observe and report the patient’s response to treatment and any changes in his/her condition to the physician and the supervising registered nurse
• Prepare written summary to the physician at least every two months/sixty days
• Set rehab goals for patients
• Guide the patient in the use of therapeutic, creative and self-care activities for the purpose of improving function.

Requirements:

• Must be currently licensed by the Louisiana Physical Therapy Board
• Have at least one year of experience as PT
• CPR certification
• Excellent time management skills. Patient care oriented
• Reliable transportation to visit patients
• Home Health experience preferred
