Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking an outpatient Physical Therapist in Mattaponi, VA. This full-time, day-shift role offers a great benefits package within a large not-for-profit healthcare system serving Virginia and eastern North Carolina.

The position supports work across outpatient therapy settings including orthopedics, neurology, and pediatrics, with opportunities for growth, mentorship, and flexible work arrangements. A BS/MS in PT is required with licensure active in Virginia.

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Active Physical Therapist License is required.
• Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Provide age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers.
• Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.

As a Physical Therapist, you will assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve functional mobility, relieve pain, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. Provide age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.

1-year Experience Is Required For Resource Pool Applicants. For Hampton Roads Outpatient facilities only - Must obtain Direct Access certification within one year of hire for those with a BS or MS degree.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $103,376.00 - $149,115.20 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
