Job description

As our Physical Therapist at CHI St Vincent, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you’ll help our patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing following an illness, injury, or issues with aging. Using various treatments, you will help patients reduce pain, build strength and endurance, increase range of motion, or develop better balance to keep them functioning at their best level.

You’re always ready for the next task. Our physical therapy team sees several patients a day for initial evaluations, re-evaluations, or treatments. Our therapists perform most treatments themselves. You’ll work with a variety of backgrounds - orthopedic injury or surgery recovery, traumatic brain injury, stroke, or conditions affecting balance, to name a few. This environment is busy and fast-paced but full of collaborative and supportive team members willing to offer help, advice, or mentoring at any time.

To thrive as a physical therapist, you must be a team player. You’ll constantly collaborate with other therapists, patients, and their families to seek the best possible treatment outcome. You should be personable, positive, and motivated to provide quality care to a wide variety of patients every day.

About Us :

CHI St Vincent Infirmary is a 600-bed faith-based, non-profit, acute care facility providing quality health care to patients and communities from all over the State of Arkansas. Our level II trauma center is a regional referral center for cardiology, trauma, behavioral health, cancer care, neurosciences, and other specialties. We have been consistently named by US News & World Report as one of the State’s best hospitals, with high performance in heart care, colorectal surgery, and joint replacement.

If you are committed to social justice, health equity, and prepared to deliver care in new, innovative ways, you belong with us.

Responsibilities
  1. Work with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and therapists to develop and execute a treatment plan for each patient
  2. Perform initial patient evaluations as well as re-evaluations to indicate the level of progress
  3. Document all treatments and note any status changes
  4. Tailor treatments to individual patients as needed - don’t be afraid to think creatively or do a little extra
  5. Seek new learning opportunities and be a resource when others need to learn from you
  6. Consistently offer the best care possible to every patient

We are offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus to hires who meet the eligibility requirements. We also offer referral incentives as well as relocation assistance.

Qualifications
  1. Current Physical Therapist License in the State of Arkansas, prior to hire
  2. Must have completed a 6-month internship as part of a Master’s program, or a 1-year internship as part of a DPT program. New graduates are welcome to apply.
  3. CPR Certification is required

While you’re busy impacting the healthcare industry, we’ll take care of you with benefits that include health / dental / vision, FSA, matching retirement plans, paid vacation, adoption assistance, and more!
