Job summary

King Health is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist to assess and plan individualized therapy programs for residents in our facility. You will evaluate progress, document records, and adjust treatments according to professional guidelines.

Collaboration with management and families is expected to discuss progress and outcomes. Applicants must be graduates of an accredited PT program, eligible to take or have taken the NPTE, and hold or be eligible for a North Carolina physical therapy license.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Must have taken NPTE or be eligible to take it and hold or be eligible for state licensure to practice in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

  • Assess residents' physical therapy needs and match services to those needs.
  • Meet with residents regularly according to their treatment program schedule and evaluate progress.
  • Maintain records of residents' progress and report to management and families.
  • Repeat evaluations routinely to measure progress per guidelines.
  • Stay current with professional literature and attend seminars to update skills.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assesses the needs of residents with physical therapy needs and matches their needs with services available. Meets with residents regularly according to treatment program schedule, evaluates, and maintains records of residents' progress.

Reports progress to management and family members and meets with them on a regular basis to discuss.

Repeats evaluations on a regular basis to measure progress according to professional guidelines.

Keeps current with professional literature and attends seminars on a regular basis to maintain and update professional skills.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Hearing ability sufficient to evaluate residents' physical therapy needs.

Skill communicating verbally and in writing with residents and family members so that all parties understand the program and the degree of progress being made.
