Job summary

Protegra Healthcare Staffing seeks compassionate Physical Therapists to join our home-health team serving Jackson metropolitan area and Brookhaven, Mississippi. The role focuses on comprehensive in-home evaluations, individualized plans of care, and one-on-one therapy to restore mobility and independence.

You will travel to patients' homes, document care, coordinate with physicians, and ensure compliance with standards. New graduates welcome; Mississippi licensure or eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current, active Mississippi Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain Mississippi licensure before providing patient care.
• Ability to provide safe, patient-centered therapy in a home-health environment.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage an assigned caseload and travel throughout the designated service area.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to meet applicable home-health travel requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations in patients’ homes.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on each patient’s diagnosis, functional limitations and recovery goals.
• Provide one-on-one therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance and independence.
• Treat patients recovering from hospitalization, orthopedic conditions, back surgery and other procedures or illnesses.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers regarding exercises, mobility techniques, fall prevention and home-safety recommendations.
• Communicate with physicians, nurses and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Maintain compliance with professional standards, organizational policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Travel to patients’ homes throughout the assigned service area.

Protegra Healthcare Staffing is recruiting compassionate and patient-focused Physical Therapists for a growing home-health organization serving patients throughout the Jackson metropolitan area and Brookhaven, Mississippi.

Key Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist will primarily support patients who are:

• Transitioning home following hospitalization
• Recovering from orthopedic procedures or conditions
• Recovering from back or spinal surgery
• Experiencing mobility, strength, balance or functional limitations
• Working to regain independence and safely remain at home

Required Qualifications

Compensation

• $50–$70 per completed visit, depending on experience.
• Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Schedule

• Weekend visits are available but not required
• Candidates may be considered for full-time employment, part-time employment or additional supplemental hours
