Job summary

The Encore at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist to join our expanding team. The PT will assess referred patients, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to restore function and quality of life.

Responsibilities include documenting progress in accordance with regulatory requirements and supervising Physical Therapy Assistants as needed.

Qualifications

• FL licensure required.
• Degree in PT from an accredited PT Program.
• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation, adult neurological, cardiac or general rehabilitation preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation.
• Provide patient treatment meeting patient needs using current knowledge.
• Write accurate, complete documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Oversee and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants.

Job Overview

The Physical Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services, provides patient treatment that meets patient needs, uses current treatment knowledge in accordance with clinical procedures. Writes accurate complete and clear documentation in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payor and accrediting requirements. Responsible for overseeing and supervising Physical Therapy Assistants.

Physical Therapist Requirements/Qualifications

• FL licensure required
• Degree in PT from an accredited PT Program
• Knowledge of PT evaluation and treatment techniques
• Understand the principles of physical modalities in PT
• Knowledge of use of prosthetic devices, ambulatory aides, assistive and resistive devices

• Ability to write specific objective documentation that is outcome orientated, detailing patient needs, potential to benefit from treatment and progress.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation, adult neurological, cardiac or general rehabilitation preferred
