  • Must be competent treating and handling majority of patient load geared around Women's Health physical therapy treatment protocols.

  • The Rehab Team Member evaluates and treats patients in accordance with Ohio laws and rules.
  • Develops plans of care with the rehabilitation team and provides education to families.
  • Coordinates with rehab assistants and athletic trainers within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Participates in continuous improvement and outcomes management activities.

Role Summary

The Rehab Team Member is currently licensed to practice therapy in the State of Ohio. This individual will work within a team oriented multi-disciplinary rehabilitation program. These services are offered via outpatient service sites to patients who have disorders and conditions associated primarily with neurologic and orthopedic injuries.

Responsibilities

The rehabilitation team members report to the rehabilitation clinic manager as part of the Ambulatory Rehabilitation Services structure. The Rehab Team Member works under the general supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation Services and under direct supervision of their clinic manager. The Rehab Team Member evaluates and treats patients in accordance with the laws and rules that govern the practice of their profession in the state of Ohio. Although team members report directly to the clinic manager, they are also responsible to each other, to those they supervise (rehab assistants and athletic trainers) and to other participants included in the patient care activities. Each Rehabilitation Team Member is first a part of a group effort to provide care within a continuous performance improvement environment, and secondly a distinct professional who provides specific contributions to the team approach. Team members assess patients and establish together plans of care; provide a wide variety of treatment techniques; provide education and support to families; and facilitate continuing care planning. Team members evaluate quality of services and participate in outcomes management activities.

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience All Physical Therapist team members must hold current licensure with the State of Ohio, Physical Therapy and Athletic Training Board. Typically, dueled credentials in Athletic Training, Strength and Conditioning or a Sports Specialty in Physical Therapy, are preferred as well as, one year of experience working in a Sports Medicine rehabilitation field for all professionals hired. Must be competent treating and handling majority of patient load geared around Women's Health physical therapy treatment protocols.
