Job summary

Sunny Days, Inc. is seeking Physical Therapists to join our California team. This home-based Early Intervention role serves infants and toddlers, with a focus on developmental goals and family coaching.

Responsibilities include conducting developmental assessments, following IFSPs, and delivering therapy in families’ homes, daycare centers, or other community settings. Sign-on bonus and flexible scheduling enhance work-life balance.

Qualifications

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license is required.
• Pediatric experience preferred in Early Intervention.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills expected.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide physical therapy services using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with the family to develop strategies for developmental goals.
• Build caregivers’ confidence and skills through a family-centered coaching approach.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment (home, daycare centers, community settings).
• Perform re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality of information per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:
