Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in early intervention for children from birth to three years old, offering multidisciplinary services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.

We are growing our team of Physical Therapists to serve infants and toddlers in home and community settings with flexible schedules and mileage reimbursement. California PT license required; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• California Physical Therapy license (DPT) required.
• Pediatric experience in Early Intervention preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide physical therapy services.
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with families to develop goals.
• Utilize family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and skills.
• Deliver services in the child’s natural environment (home, daycare, community).
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports bi-annual.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
