Job summary

National HealthCare Corporation in Dickson, TN is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team. The role involves supervising and applying physical therapy techniques to rehabilitate patients with disabilities, injuries, or diseases, under physician orders.

The ideal candidate is a licensed Physical Therapist with a BS or MS in Physical Therapy and has supervisory experience; active participation in state/national PT associations is preferred. NHC offers an equitable, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a BS or MS in Physical Therapy accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Must be licensed or registered in the state where practicing.
• One year’s supervisory experience preferred.
• Active member of the state and national Physical Therapy Association preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise physical therapy services.
• Provide physical therapy services as ordered by the referring physician and delegate appropriate portions to the licensed physical therapy assistant.
• Instruct the physical therapy staff in delegated functions including precautions, problems, contraindications, progress goals and re-evaluation plan.
• Evaluate, plan and supervise treatments with short-term and long-term goals for patients with physician-approved re-evaluations.

Position: Physical Therapist
