Job summary

Mercy Health in Dexter, MO is seeking a Physical Therapist to assess adults and geriatric patients and build individualized treatment plans under Therapy Leadership. The role includes direct supervision of patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians and PT assistants, in full compliance with state practice acts and Mercy standards.

Applicants should hold a PT license in the state, BLS certification, and prefer 6–12 months of rehab experience with adults and elderly patients.

Qualifications

• Current/temporary Physical Therapy license in state of practice.
• BLS certification current.
• Six months to one year experience preferred in rehabilitation for adults/geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Direct supervision of patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians; supervise PT assistants per state acts.

Find your calling at Mercy!Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Hours / Schedule: Full-Time (40-hrs per week), Days

Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy

Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice
