Dayton Children's Hospital is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to support the Physical Therapy Department on the Main Campus. This full-time outpatient role focuses on pediatric growth and development, with supervision of assistants and collaboration with other disciplines to implement plans of care.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree and an Ohio PT license; eligibility for ongoing continuing education is encouraged.
Demonstrates basic knowledge of pediatric growth and development, recognizes deviations from the norm, has competency in administering a variety of assessment tools/therapy techniques for the age groups he/she serves. Recognizes limitations and seeks guidance when appropriate. Participates in ongoing continuing education and to enhance clinical skills. Actively supports department and hospital goals and mission statements. Works collaboratively with other disciplines within the department and key professionals within the hospital and community. Complies with all requirements for legal practice determined by state license board. Works with Physical Therapy Assistants with appropriate supervision and documentation collaboration and cosignatures. Conducts weekly supervisory meeting to review patient issues and changes to plans of care and reviews plans of care for any changes or updates to goals.
