Job summary

Presbyterian Village North in Dallas is seeking full-time Physical Therapists to join our compassionate rehabilitation team across North Dallas, Coppell and Plano. This multi-site role focuses on delivering high-quality therapy for our senior population in a supportive, faith-based environment.

You will document assessments, educate residents and families on therapy modalities, supervise assistants, and ensure safety and quality in all interactions.

Qualifications

  • Active Texas Physical Therapist license.
  • Experience in SNF/LTC/IL/AL/OP settings or mature population rehab.
  • Familiarity with PDPM treatment and reimbursement policy.
  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

  • Document assessments, reassessments, progress notes and discharge summaries.
  • Provide resident, family and staff education on Physical Therapy modalities.
  • Screen residents to determine benefit from physical therapy.
  • Develop, direct or participate in physical therapy programming for residents.
  • Orient, instruct and direct weight of work for rehabilitation staff and students.
  • Review documentation written by Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants.
  • Attend in-services and required meetings; maintain continuing education.
  • Ensure safety of residents, patients, visitors and staff; report hazards.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehab.

Presbyterian Village North is currently looking for full time Physical Therapists to join our fantastic team!

**This position is a full-time, multi-site position serving our North Dallas, Coppell and Plano locations.**

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Model a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients, visitors, and co-workers
  • Ensure resident, patient, visitor, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards
  • Document all assessments, reassessments, progress notes, discharge summaries and other clinical work in the medical record per departmental policy and procedure
  • Provide resident, family and staff education pertaining to Physical Therapy modalities to ensure understanding and proficiency of care
  • Demonstrates good clinical judgment in all aspects of resident treatments in which trained to provide
  • Orients, instructs and directs work activities of Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehab Techs and Physical Therapy students
  • Reviews documentation written by the Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants
  • Screening residents to determine their potential benefit from physical therapy intervention
  • Develops, directs and/or participates in physical therapy programming for the residents
  • Attends in-services and other meetings as required on an ongoing basis
  • Maintains continuing education per state licensure requirements
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehab
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the current state
  • Knowledge of therapy industry and federal, state and local government regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated efficiency strategies for fast paced environment
  • Experience in SNF/LTC/IL/AL/OP setting or mature population rehabilitation and wellness needs
  • Experience with PDPM treatment and reimbursement policy
  • Basic computer skills, Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Genuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, persons with disabilities and hospice Patients
  • Ability to perform Essential Duties
  • Ability to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements
  • Ability to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities
  • Ability to comply with organizational and departmental safety policies and procedures
