Job summary

Colorado Advanced Orthopedics of Craig is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our on-site Craig, CO team. You will evaluate patients on initial encounter, plan rehabilitation programs, and collaborate with physicians to optimize recovery outcomes.

Responsibilities include directing therapeutic regimens, supervising aides and staff, maintaining thorough documentation, and participating in continuing education to meet licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Master's degree in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Previous experience working as a physical therapist preferred.

• Maintain established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Evaluate patients upon initial encounter to assess impairment and current condition to estimate rehabilitation potential.
• Plan physical therapy treatment program for each patient, based on the assessment.
• Direct and aid patient in therapeutic regimen. Delegate routine care to supportive personnel as appropriate. Act in supervisory role to ensure proper execution of tasks.
• Adapt conventional physical therapy techniques to fit the needs of patients in a variety of circumstances.
• Conduct and participate in training medical and nursing personnel in physical therapy techniques and objectives.
• Evaluate, record, and report on patient progres for review by other members of the rehabilitative team. Communicate effectively with physicians and other members of the rehabilitation team.
• Counsel patient and family about degree of disability impairment.
• Complete all required documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner.
• Participate in educational programs and in-service meetings. Participate in continuing education programs to ensure appropriate units are attained for continuation and maintenance of state license.
• Assists with departmental maintenance and supplies.
• Supervises the patient care activities of aides, assistants, attendants, students, and volunteers.
• Other duties as assigned/ requested.

FLSA Classification:Full-time, Non-Exempt $41.00-63.00

Essential Functions:

• Maintain established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

Education and Experience:
