Job summary

The Corvallis Clinic, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our multi-specialty team in Corvallis, Oregon. The role focuses on restoring movement and function through prescribed therapy programs and patient education.

You will perform evaluation and treatment of neuromusculoskeletal conditions, ensure safe equipment use, and participate in ongoing education and team collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited physical therapy program.
  • Current Oregon state license or willing to obtain once hired.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to complete BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in and maintains a culture aligned with service standards and clinic policies.
  • Evaluates and treats neuromusculoskeletal dysfunctions with tests and manual/therapeutic techniques.
  • Safely uses therapeutic equipment including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and iontophoresis; supervises assistants as needed.
  • Delegates treatments to aides and monitors patient progress.
  • Participates in inservices and mentoring; attend at least one CE course per year.
  • Maintains accurate patient records and submits forms to Business Services timely.
  • Assists in upkeep of department and equipment; coordinates scheduling with receptionists.

The Physical Therapist organizes and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy programs to restore optimal movement and function, decrease pain and prevent disability related to injury, disease, or loss of body part.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Participates and maintains a culture within The Corvallis Clinic consistent with the content outlined in the Service and Behavioral Standards document. To this end, employee will be expected to read, have familiarity, and embrace the principles contained within
  • Demonstrates proficiency in evaluation and treatment of neuromusculoskeletal dysfunctions by appropriate testing and application of accepted treatment techniques, such as exercise and manual therapy
  • Safe and correct use of all therapeutic equipment, including modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation and iontophoresis, exercise equipment, and any testing equipment used for evaluations
  • Delegates appropriate treatments to assistants/aides and monitor patient progress
  • Participates in clinic educational functions, such as inservices, pre-therapy student mentoring, or clinical instructor for therapy student affiliations. Attend minimum of one continuing education course per year
  • Maintains accurate patient files, including history, treatment, outcome, and conferences. Submit appropriate changes and necessary forms to Business Services within time frame established by Corvallis Clinic policy
  • Assists in upkeep and organization of department, including supplies, treatment/administrative areas, and equipment
  • Coordinates scheduling of patient appointments with receptionists

Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of accredited physical therapy program
  • Current Oregon state license or willing to obtain once hired
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to complete BLS certification within 90 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in a similar clinical setting
  • Familiarity with manual therapy techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to work compatibly with physicians, staff members, and patients

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
