LEARN Academy is hiring a part-time on-site Physical Therapist to support students with special needs in Southwest Valley. The role collaborates with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to evaluate needs and implement IEP-aligned treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program.
• Maintain state licensure.
• Valid IVP Fingerprint clearance card.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' physical abilities and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Provide direct physical therapy services to improve strength, mobility, coordination, and balance.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and IEP team members to support participation.
• Assist in selection and use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
• Monitor and document progress; adjust plans as needed.
• Participate in IEP meetings and share progress and interventions.
• Train school staff on techniques to support students' physical needs.
• Mentor/supervise assistants or students in the PT community.
• Advocate for students' needs within the educational system.
• Stay current with best practices through ongoing professional development.

• Participate in IEP meetings and provide insights on student progress and recommended interventions.
• Train school staff on techniques to support students' physical needs throughout the school day.
• Mentor and/or supervise assistants or students in the physical therapy community.
• Advocate for students' needs within the educational system to ensure they have access to necessary resources.
• Stay current with best practices in school-based physical therapy through ongoing professional development.
