Job summary

AZ Therapy Services for Kids LLC is seeking a School-Based Physical Therapist to support students in Phoenix, AZ. Join a team dedicated to helping children reach their physical potential within the educational setting.

Responsibilities include evaluating students, creating IEP-aligned plans, collaborating with educators and parents, and delivering direct and consultative PT services in schools. Licensure, pediatric experience, and CPR/First Aid are required; flexible part-time or full-time roles

Qualifications

• Valid Arizona Physical Therapist license (or ability to obtain).
• Graduate degree (Master's or Doctorate) in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Experience with pediatric populations, preferably in a school setting.
• Familiarity with IEP processes, IDEA regulations, and special education environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.

• Evaluate and assess students' physical abilities, functional mobility, and gross motor skills.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals and educational outcomes.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student success.
• Provide direct and consultative PT services in school and classroom environments.
• Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and complete required reports in a timely manner.
• Recommend and implement adaptive equipment and assistive technology as needed.
• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and school-based planning sessions.

Requirements

• Valid Arizona Physical Therapist license (or ability to obtain).
• Graduate degree (Master's or Doctorate) in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school-based setting.
• Familiarity with IEP processes, IDEA regulations, and special education environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with children of all abilities.
• Prior experience as a School Based Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist or Pediatric Physical Therapist is preferred.
