NuWest Group is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist (PT) in Augusta, GA to deliver high-quality care to residents in a skilled nursing facility. You will evaluate needs, restore mobility, and support restorative care plans, working within an interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of PT experience, a Georgia PT license, and BLS.

COVID-19 vaccination not required. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with options for 4x10 shifts, and a focus on patient-centered

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MPT, or BSPT).
• Active Georgia State Physical Therapist license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 1–2 years of clinical PT experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans for residents.


• Administer therapeutic exercises and manual interventions to improve mobility, strength, and balance.


• Educate residents, families, and healthcare staff on restorative care strategies and safety protocols.


• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary clinical team to achieve optimal resident outcomes.


• Maintain complete and accurate patient care documentation in accordance with state guidelines and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MPT, or BSPT).


• Licensure & Certifications:


• Active Georgia State Physical Therapist license.


• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.


• COVID-19 vaccination not required.


• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of clinical physical therapy experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing preferred but not expired, or clinical environment.


• Skills: Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and patient-centered treatment skills.
