Job summary

P4 Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to cover our outpatient clinic in Alabama. You will assess patients, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct care following established protocols.

The role requires current Alabama licensure or prompt licensure, CPR certification, and strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, physicians, and insurers. A growth-oriented, compassionate mindset is essential.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist program.
  • Current Alabama license or ability to begin the licensing process promptly.
  • CPR certification holder.
  • Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication with patients and staff.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities to manage the clinic.
  • Self-starter with growth mindset and passion for patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluations.
  • Review referrals and medical records to determine needed PT treatment.
  • Provide direct patient care per established protocols.
  • Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers
  • Supervise assistants and rehabilitation technicians
  • Create a written plan of care with goals and comprehensive program
  • Implement treatment programs and essential PT therapies
  • Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurers
  • Ensure timely documentation including daily notes and reports

Job Description

P4 Physical Therapy is looking for a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to provide coverage in our outpatient clinic. If you are passionate about providing quality care and looking for a supportive work environment, we encourage you to apply!

  • Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on the evaluation results
  • Review the physician's referral (prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required
  • Provide direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines
  • Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers
  • Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
  • Complete a written plan of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and develop a comprehensive program to attain goals
  • Implement physical therapy treatment program and provide essential physical therapy treatments
  • Communicate effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies
  • Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports
Qualifications
  • Graduate (or soon to be) from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapist program
  • Current Alabama license or the ability to begin the licensing process promptly
  • CPR certification
  • Outpatient orthopedic experience, including exercise, manual‑based skills, and sports rehabilitation, is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals
  • Strong multi‑tasking abilities to manage the clinic effectively
  • A self‑starter with a mindset for achieving growth and success
  • A passion for providing quality patient care with a positive and compassionate approach
