Job summary

Kforce Inc. is seeking a Project Coordinator/Project Manager with a focus on security systems implementations and construction projects in West Palm Beach, FL. The role requires coordinating design reviews, vendor logistics, and bid documentation while ensuring compliance with standards and schedules.

You will attend meetings with cross-functional teams, manage on-site activities, and drive issue resolution, risk management, and stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 3–5+ years in project coordination or project management in construction, security, or facilities.
  • Familiar with low-voltage, mechanical, and security technology concepts a plus.
  • Strong organization and stakeholder communication skills; proficient with Jira/Confluence/Google Workspace.
  • Ability to read floor plans and manage multiple concurrent projects with on-time progress.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain project schedule and design-review calendar across build pipeline.
  • Coordinate vendor/integrator logistics including RFIs, submittals, and bid evaluation.
  • Prepare and evaluate RFP/SOW and bid documentation for security installations.
  • Review design docs for compliance with standards and log issues as required.
  • Attend design, PM, OAC, and construction meetings with stakeholders.
  • Oversee construction-security logistics and secure storage of equipment.
  • Produce status reports and conduct on-site inspections including final acceptance testing.
  • Drive punch-list resolution, lessons-learned, and contractor performance reviews.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the project schedule and design-review gate calendar across the build pipeline
  • Manage early project initiation activities and develop project security scope, schedule, critical deliverables, and requirements
  • Coordinate vendor and integrator logistics - RFIs, submittals, bid/SOW evaluation, and punch-list tracking - across all active builds and upgrades
  • Prepare, issue, and evaluate RFP/SOW and bid documentation for security systems installation scope; Review bid-leveling documentation and provide feedback on award recommendations
  • Review security system design documentation for compliance with published and internal security requirements, technical standards, and installation standards; redline documentation and log issues as required
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for project teams and stakeholders; Attend design, project management, OAC (Owner/Architect/Contractor), and construction meetings
  • Coordinate construction-security logistics: secure shipping/receiving, chain-of-custody, and secure storage of high-value equipment during builds
  • Manage documentation, drawings, and gate records; Produce project status and issues reports for stakeholders and leadership
  • Conduct on-site inspections during construction and installation and support final acceptance testing of completed systems; Drive punch-list resolution and close-out
  • Manage project lessons-learned reviews, site metrics evaluation, and contractor performance evaluations; Keep stakeholders informed of budget, schedule, risks, and issues
  • Travel required 30-40% of the time
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5+ years of project coordination or project management experience, ideally in construction, security, or facilities (consultant, integrator, or end-user environment)
  • Working familiarity with low-voltage, mechanical, and physical security technology and design concepts; Knowledge of door hardware, access control system hardware, wiring standards, and installation methods a plus
  • Basic knowledge of access control and video management systems configuration & reporting, including monitoring functions and simple programming changes; manufacturer-specific certifications a plus
  • Strong organization and stakeholder-communication skills; Comfort with Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace, and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SharePoint, QuickBase)
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, and/or the Google Suite
  • Ability to read and interpret floor plans
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize tasks and deliverables, and drive consistent on-time progress; Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Preferred certifications: SIA CSPM, PMI PMP, CompTia Project+

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
