Job summary

Vitaver & Associates, Inc. seeks a Physical Security Network Engineer to work on-site in Juno Beach, FL for a 12-month project. The role emphasizes configuring IoT-like security devices, cameras, and access controls with on-site execution.

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting, VLAN and IP networking skills, and a Network+/CCNA level certification. This is a strict on-site assignment at the client site with no telecommuting. Relocation is required if not local.

Qualifications

• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Juno Beach, FL.
• Strong troubleshooting skills — routers, firewalls, deep network understanding.
• Experience with IP addressing, VLANs, network switching, PoE, subnets and gateways.
• IP-based physical security systems configuration; Network+ or CCNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical work on network-connected devices/systems (IoT-type) such as access controls and cameras.
• Connect devices and modify network configurations as required.
• Upgrade switches, routers, and related equipment.
• Reassign IP addresses for security devices to approved subnets.
• Move devices into designated security VLANs.
• Update management systems with current device network information.
• Verify connectivity to access control and video management systems.

Start Date: ASAP
Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client's site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client.

Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.

Required:

• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Juno Beach, FL.
• Strong troubleshooting skills — routers, firewalls, deep network understanding (this is the key focus area)
• Experience with IP addressing.
• Experience with Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs).
• Experience with Network switching.
• Experience with Power over Ethernet (PoE).
• Experience with Subnets and gateways configuration.
• Experience with IP-based physical security systems configuration.
• Network+ certification
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (or equivalent experience).

Preferred:

• Experience with IP cameras.
• Experience with Access control systems.
• CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

Responsibilities:
