Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry Township, PA, seeks a Physical Security Engineer to protect nuclear facilities and materials from sabotage and theft. The role reports to the Senior Manager of Structural Steel Senior, Building Engineering & Physical Design and is based at the global headquarters in Cranberry Township.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

Responsibilities

• Provide broad-ranging experience operating and advanced nuclear plant designs including interfaces with systems, equipment, structures, and physical plant arrangement to develop and implement the safeguards and physical security protection system designs.
• Work on teams related to design, fabrication, construction, and maintenance of large-scale nuclear and non-nuclear projects concerning physical security.
• Perform physical security assessments of the physical plant arrangement.
• Perform evaluations including critical asset development, threat and vulnerability assessments, physical security system computer and electrical design.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and criteria documents.
• Help prepare specifications and reports to satisfy applicable regulatory, code, and contract requirements.
• Provide engineering support to multiple global organizations regarding asset protection and physical security assessments.

About the role

As a Physical Security Engineer you will protect nuclear facilities and material against sabotage, theft, diversion, and other malicious acts.

You will report to the Senior Manager of Structural Steel Senior, Building Engineering & Physical Design and be located at global headquarters in Cranberry Township, PA. The position is hybrid, you will be onsite 2 days per week.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58,400 to $73,000 per year.
