Broward College, North Campus, seeks a Science Lab Technician for the Physical Sciences labs, under supervision of the Science Laboratory Manager. You will prepare, set up, break down, and clean labs across chemistry, biochemistry, physics, and earth sciences, complying with safety regulations.

Minimum education is an associate degree with 3+ years in a science lab. The role emphasizes inventory, calibration, and support for faculty, with a full-time schedule and strong safety responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of functional experience in a science laboratory setting.
• Experience preparing, diluting, and standardizing chemical solutions.
• Proficiency with laboratory safety compliance and waste disposal.
• Ability to set up, maintain, and clean laboratories daily.

Responsibilities

• Prepare labs according to assigned disciplines and assemble materials.
• Prepare, dilute, and standardize chemical solutions and measure parameters.
• Clean up and restore lab to pre-activity condition.
• Assist with gravimetric analysis and pH measurements.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and dispose of waste per safety rules.
• Assist faculty with lab activities.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
