About Us:
Outstanding clinical and academic opportunity for a Brain Injury Physiatrist at St. Charles Rehabilitation. The only rehabilitation program on Long Island with CARF accreditation for inpatient and outpatient, including Brain Injury and Stroke. Also featuring the area’s largest concussion management program. Ample opportunities for research and teaching as we are the primary training site for the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook’s residency in PM&R.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Board-Certified Brain Injury Rehabilitation Physician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping patients regain their independence and improve their functional abilities. You will work closely with a team of therapists, nurses, and other specialists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with brain injury.
- Develop and oversee personalized rehabilitation plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding recovery and rehabilitation processes.
- Stay current with advances in brain injury rehabilitation and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree with Board Certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
- Experience in brain injury rehabilitation preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to patient-centered care.
