As a founding Physical Education Teacher and Student Coach at Kindle Education, you will play many roles. We believe that education is best done as a team sport and that we can accomplish exponentially more through collaboration.
As a Physical Education Teacher, you will help champion the holistic development of our students. With the support of our Director of Learning, our curriculum will incorporate personal and mental health, physical wellness, and safety. We will have a new ~2,000 SF gym, a terrace with ~3,000 SF of field turf, and several parks within walking distance where you will lead sessions with groups of 22‑33 students. You will be responsible for ensuring the 10 Comprehensive Health and Physical Education practices are covered over the course of each year.
As a student coach, you will partner with parents to guide a small group of students as they find their spark, develop social‑emotional and metacognitive skills, set goals for life and learning, and build a sense of purpose. Through advisory sessions, one‑on‑one coaching sessions, family communication, and progress and data tracking, you will ensure your students are getting the support they need to show consistent growth.
As a learner and team member, you will set your own personalized goals with the support of a coach and your peers, ultimately modeling the self‑directed growth we expect from our students. By proactively supporting your peers and pitching in where needed, you will help create an environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.
All curriculum and student data will be housed on the Kindle Education learning platform.
