• Assess and communicate student progress to families and colleagues.
• Supervise students during PE classes, transitions, and activities.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and administration to support overall development.
• Participate in school events, professional development, and other activities as requested.
• Support and uphold the mission and Catholic identity of the school.

Job Description

Position Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate physical education lessons for students in Pre-K through Grade 8.
• Provide engaging activities that promote physical fitness, coordination, strength, flexibility, balance, and motor development.
• Teach and model teamwork, cooperation, leadership, perseverance, respect, and good sportsmanship.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for all students.
• Adapt instruction and activities to meet the diverse physical, developmental, and learning needs of students.
• Assess and monitor student progress and communicate appropriately with families and colleagues.
• Supervise students during physical education classes, transitions, and activities.
• Maintain and appropriately use physical education equipment and facilities.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and administration to support the overall academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of students.
• Participate in school events, professional development, faculty meetings, and other school activities as requested.

Job Requirements

• • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Appropriate state teaching certification or licensure preferred.
  • Experience working with early, elementary, and middle school students preferred.
  • Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Commitment to supporting the Catholic mission and values of the school.
  • Practicing Catholic preferred, or demonstrated respect for and commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
