Broadcom Inc. in Colorado Springs is seeking a Physical IC Design Engineer within the Data Center Solutions Group to drive RTL-to-silicon tape-out for PCIe switch products and enterprise storage.

The role emphasizes Synthesis, Physical Verification, Timing Closure, floorplanning, clock tree synthesis, and close collaboration with RTL teams; in-person work is required. Minimum 8+ years in physical design with TCL/Perl scripting and extensive EDA tool experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in physical IC design.
• Experience RTL to Tape-out and full physical design cycle.
• Proficiency in TCL/Perl scripting and EDA tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute Physical Design, Synthesis, Physical Verification, and Timing Closure.
• Place and Route and Floor-planning; Clock Tree Synthesis and top-level STA analysis.
• Collaborate with IC Design RTL Engineers; develop flows and methodologies.

This position involves working with the latest technology to continue driving next generation AI/ML ecosystems through our PCIe Switch Products – and managing mega datacenters, while leading world class performance, through our Enterprise Storage Products.
