Meta's Fundamental AI Research lab seeks an Research Scientist to advance foundational research for physical AI, including robotics hardware and novel semiconductors. The role focuses on heavy software research engineering, such as large-scale data manipulation and simulator integration for LLMs and post-training recipes.

You will work across mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering domains and contribute to state-of-the-art RL, 3D data usage, and cross-disciplinary methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field; minimum required before joining Meta.
• PhD in AI/Physical AI/3D CV or related field must be completed before joining Meta.
• Experience in physical AI, simulation, RL, representation learning, multimodal learning, robotics or related areas.

Responsabilités

• Explore and develop novel post-training paradigms for LLMs using reinforcement learning.
• Integrate large-scale simulation into LLM post-training.
• Explore mechanical, aerospace, civil and other engineering disciplines to enable LLMs solving domain problems.
