Job summary

Iconic Care is seeking a dedicated physiatrist to deliver specialized care at contracted skilled nursing facilities. The role involves rounds at multiple sites and autonomy in clinical decision‑making while collaborating with facility teams.

Relocation to Redding, CA is required with generous relocation packages. Start date in 4–6 weeks after credentialing; full‑time and contract options available, with a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PA or NP license.
• DEA license or willing to obtain DEA licensure.
• Nursing home and/or physiatry experience is a plus, but not required.
• Comfort performing peripheral joint injections (knees, shoulders, hips).
• Autonomy in on-site practice with collaborative clinical team support.
• Familiarity with EHR charting.

Responsibilities

• Rover at 1–3 Skilled Nursing Facilities, 1–3 days per week at each location.
• Deliver physiatry care to 25+ patients per day who have difficulty participating in therapy due to pain or functional limits.
• Develop focused assessments and individualized treatment plans with facility primary care teams.
• Provide injections, Botox, dry needling and medication management as needed.
• Serve as the sole on-site physiatrist with high autonomy and access to consultation.

We’re Hiring:

We are seeking a passionate, motivated provider to join us full‑time and independently offer care and consultations at our contracted facilities.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

As a physiatrist, you will round at 1–3 Skilled Nursing Facilities or similar rehabilitation centers, 1–3 days per week at each location. Your primary focus will be delivering specialized physiatry care to 25+ patients per day who are experiencing difficulty participating in therapy due to pain or functional limitations.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Performing focused assessments and developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with facility primary care teams to optimize therapy participation and functional recovery.
• Providing targeted interventions such as joint injections, Botox treatments, dry needling, and medication management based on patient‑specific needs.
• Serving as the sole physiatrist on‑site, operating with a high level of autonomy while supported by a collaborative clinical team for consultation as needed.
• Coordinating care and referring to other specialties or services for issues beyond the scope of physiatry.

This role is best suited for a self‑motivated and confident clinician who thrives in independent practice environments and is passionate about improving rehabilitation outcomes.
