Physiatrist / Physical Medicine & Rehab Physician Morristown, NJ

Urgently hiring

We are looking for a BC/BE Physiatrist/PM&R Physician to join our Physiatry team in Northern NJ. Our physicians work in post-acute care settings providing consultation and follow-up care. We collaborate closely with patients, families, rehab staff, physicians, and hospital system pop-health teams. Our goal is to deliver excellent physiatric care, demonstrating dedication to patients and their families, as well as our client facilities. We aim to have a strong presence in our facilities, serve patient needs, and promote the value of physiatry in post-acute care. The incoming Physiatrist will cover acute care/SNFs in the Morristown, NJ area.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Perform physiatric consultations and follow-up care for new cases throughout rehabilitation.
2. Round on post-acute care patients at least twice a week, monitor progress, address obstacles, and enhance quality of life.
3. Maintain awareness of referral sources, manage an active patient list, and capture all referrals diligently.
4. Engage regularly with clinical staff, maintaining professional relationships with physicians, caregivers, administrators, and directors.
5. Communicate effectively with patients and families, explaining treatment options and setting expectations.
6. Attend facility rehab team meetings.
7. Ensure documentation, billing, and coding follow protocols and guidelines.
8. Meet with facility leadership to understand needs and build relationships, reporting updates to the Director.
9. Collaborate actively with other treating physicians and Physician Assistants.

Requirements:

• Unrestricted NJ Medical License, CDS, DEA
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in PM&R
• Maintain current licensure and certifications annually per ABPMR and NJBME requirements

Compensation (range):

• $250k-$300k for full-time with Bonus Potential, depending on caseload
