Our hospital provides a wide range of physical rehabilitation services, a network of highly skilled physicians and therapists, and the most innovative equipment and technology, ensuring access to high-quality care.

ENCOMPASS HEALTH PM&R MEDICAL DIRECTOR DESCRIPTION

The Medical Director oversees the hospital's rehabilitation program quality and integrity. This role involves optimizing clinical care and providing direct patient care.

Partner with the CEO to establish the hospital as the preferred inpatient rehabilitation facility in the area. Aim to surpass the Encompass Health average in patient satisfaction and achieve a top 10 clinical ranking.

Build relationships with local specialists and acute care providers to promote inpatient rehabilitation benefits and criteria. Educating clinicians and fostering confidence in the hospital's services is vital for patient access and hospital success.

Maintain a visible and approachable presence within the hospital, earning a reputation for accessibility among staff, patients, and families. The Medical Director will be compensated for administrative duties.

The PM&R Physician will develop a private practice including inpatient and optional outpatient rehabilitation. The physician will manage their billing and collections through an independent billing company. Encompass Health's high patient volume is supported by dedicated outreach teams identifying suitable candidates.
