PM&R Inpatient Medical Director

We are seeking a full-time PM&R Medical Director interested in building a practice and growing with the community. This role offers a competitive financial package, including a generous income guarantee and full relocation support. Encompass Health has a collegial group of physicians with ample specialty support from local acute care hospitals.

• Medical Director role with a monthly stipend

Role Description

The Medical Director oversees the hospital's rehabilitation services' quality and integrity, playing a key role in optimizing clinical care while providing direct patient care. The director partners with the CEO to position the hospital as the preferred inpatient rehabilitation facility in the area, aiming to surpass hospital and clinical rankings and improve patient satisfaction.

Building relationships with other specialists and providers is critical to increase referrals and patient access. The Medical Director is expected to be accessible and approachable, fostering a positive reputation among staff, patients, and families. Compensation includes administrative services.

The Physiatrist will develop a private practice, managing a caseload of complex inpatient rehabilitation patients and outpatient services if desired. They will independently handle billing and collections. Encompass Health's high-volume hospitals and outreach teams facilitate patient recruitment.

Location: North Memphis, Tennessee
