Qualifications

• Must be Board Certified in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or PM&R.
• Proficient in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interview-based exams with physical assessments.
• Complete evaluations in the provider portal and perform follow-up administrative work.

Job description

Location:

City in West Texas, El Paso! A vibrant city located on the westernmost edge of Texas, along the U.S.-Mexico border. It is known for its rich cultural heritage, diverse community, and strong connections to both American and Mexican cultures.

Facility:

Center offering confidential help for Veterans, service members, and their families at no cost in a non-medical setting.

Opportunity:

• Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
• No weekends or call!
• Must be Board Certified in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or PM&R
• Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
• No prescribing, no treatment
• DMA certification available (can get CME credits) - will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
• Use of Goniometer required
• Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
• Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions
• Evaluations to be completed in provider portal and records are reviewed
• Follow-up administrative work will be required on a regular basis

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
