Job description

The role of a PM&R physician is to implement and supervise a rehabilitation program to improve quality of life. Patient care involves performing functions such as patient examinations, ordering diagnostic testing and studies, and pain-relieving procedures and therapies.

Duties include:

1. Conducting telemedicine and in-person appointments with patients.
2. Ordering diagnostic studies and tests relevant to patient care.
3. Developing and executing recovery plans for patients with traumatic brain injuries and other traumatic injuries.
4. Supervising physical, occupational, speech, and related therapy programs.

Nice to have:

• Perform trigger point, Botox injections (for headaches and other conditions), platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and other appropriate injections.
• Provide treatment for acute or chronic pain through medication, nerve blocks, electrical stimulation, physical, occupational, and speech therapies.

Travel to other locations in South Texas as needed.
