Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate; ACP is accepted. Experience with diverse student populations is preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas Teacher certificate at the appropriate level for assignment OR accepted in an approved Alternative Certificate Program (ACP) and have passed the required prerequisite examinations.
• Experience working with diverse student populations preferred.
• Bilingual fluency is beneficial in some settings.

Responsibilities

• Teach the District curriculum utilizing well-designed lesson plans and rigorous instruction based on standards.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional materials to address individual needs.
• Develop instructional units and project-based learning to foster collaboration and creative thinking.
• Assess and document student mastery and growth using multiple assessment tools and interventions.
• Proctor standardized tests and maintain accurate test data and attendance/records.
• Implement effective classroom management and student-centered discipline techniques.
• Engage parents through conferences and ongoing involvement in student learning.
