Job description

CMDS, one of New Jersey’s leading marketing companies, is currently seeking a motivated PHP Developer who is looking for an opportunity to learn and grow. The ideal candidates will be self-motivated with good communication skills, strong problem solving skills, 4+ years of web development experience and will be deadline oriented.
Projects will range from custom theme WordPress installs, launching sites, website maintenance to creating fully customizable websites in WordPress, building web applications, and debugging.

We’re looking for someone who…

• Can chop up designs created in photoshop and prepare for dev
• Has good working knowledge with customizing WordPress, and is familiar with theme/plugin creation and modification
• Has excellent working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery, AJAX, PHP, and MySQL
• Has a basic understanding of how to connect with third party API services, both sending and retrieving data
• Has strong time management skills; ability to manage multiple time-sensitive assignments simultaneously
• Have responsive design and Bootstrap framework experience
• Has ability to work well individually and on a team
• Is a quick learner who can take an assignment or project and run with it
• Is hard-working and willing to pitch in wherever is needed
• Is eager to learn and thinks outside the box
• Brings a positive attitude and enthusiasm to the studio

We’ll see it as a bonus if you…

• Have worked on e-commerce solutions and are well-versed in e-commerce methodologies and best practices
• Have proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design programs
• Have some experience managing AWS, including EC2 instances, ELB, CloudFront, etc.

This position is full-time on-site Monday through Thursday from 8-6. EVERY FRIDAY OFF! Vacation and benefits package available. Please provide a cover letter and your resume/personal website and links to a few projects you have worked on.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation:

Up to $65,000.00 per year

We’ll pay for approximately 50% of your medical, 100% dental, 2 weeks paid vacation plus holidays and EVERY Friday off as well as give you a great place to grow.
