The Position:We are looking for a Creative Writer and Content Specialist for our social media accounts and blog posts! At CMDS, we’re passionate about building brands online, tracking the results, and implementing new strategies. CMDS, the area’s leading internet marketing services agency, is hiring a rockstar Creative Writer in NJ to brainstorm likable and shareable content for our valued clients, our agency, and our CEO.

Here’s the deal – this isn’t your average creative writing position. We want the best of the best. We want someone who can look at what we’ve done, and then take it to the next level. We’re specifically talking about great content for LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.. and also blogs for our clients and our own website.

If you think you’ve cracked the code on what resonates on social media and communicating effectively, this role will require you to push that assumption even further.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, preferably with agency experience
• Experience in B2B social media marketing
• Excellent knowledge of LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other social media emerging platforms
• Excellent multi-tasking skills and time-management skills
• Thorough knowledge of the social landscape
• Demonstrates a strong passion for storytelling
• Extremely detail-oriented who can adapt content effectively
• Demonstrates ability to be resourceful, proactive, and achieve goals in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to research, interpret, and write creatively about client industries in a way that will perform well on social media platforms and blogs

Responsibilities:

Day to Day:

• Concepting creative ideas for social content and being able to create them on your own or work with the creative team to help give direction
• Research client industries and be able to interpret that into impactful copywriting
• Browsing social platforms to see best performing content and new trends
• Keeping updated with news and press releases from social platforms that can impact our approach
• Writing captions for posts as well as refining messaging matrixes for engagement

Monthly:

• Understanding the monthly campaign objective for the client and being able to take that information and come up with a plan for content to achieve those goals.
• Working with the Social Media Specialist at the end of the month to contribute to client reports and being able to communicate what content is performing the best, what content is performing the worst, and why. Also, be able to give recommendations on what type of content we should experiment with based on timely trends.
• Attending the creative brainstorm meeting to align with the creative team on how we can execute content for the following month. Also, you must be able to receive constructive feedback and also feel empowered to give constructive feedback.

Team Structure:

Reporting to Marketing Director and working alongside Social Media Specialist, Creative Team, and external clients

• YOU MUST HAVE 3 ACCOUNTS MINIMUM TO SHOW EXAMPLES OF!
• YOU MUST HAVE AGENCY OR CLIENT-SIDE EXPERIENCE!
• You MUST be able to work full-time on-site at our office in Colts Neck, NJ

This position is full-time and on-site Monday through Thursday from 8-6. We have EVERY FRIDAY OFF! Vacation and benefits package available. CMDS’ working environment is fun, creative, and rewarding. Compensation:

We’ll pay for approximately 50% of your medical, 100% dental, 2 weeks paid vacation plus holidays and EVERY Friday off as well as give you a great place to grow. The salary for this position ranges from $50,000 – $70,000 per year.
