Job summary

Mesilla Valley Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, Inc., seeks a licensed mental health professional to provide therapy and crisis intervention for patients.

The Therapist will conduct individual, group and family therapy, teaching, and referrals while addressing biopsychosocial needs of individuals in care.

Master's degree in Social Work or related field and NM licensure are required; one year of clinical and chemical dependency counseling experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or a clinically related mental health field.
• NM licenses such as LPC, LMSW, LAT, LMHC, LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT required.
• Minimum of one year of clinical and chemical dependency counseling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic functions to assist patients in meeting biopsychosocial needs.
• Deliver consultation, teaching, individual, group and family therapy, crisis intervention, information and referrals.
• Support emotional health and help patients achieve optimal emotional health.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinically related mental health field and possess one of the following New Mexico licenses: licensed professional mental health counselor (LPC); licensed master's social worker (LMSW); licensed art therapist (LAT); or licensed mental health counselor (LMHC)', licensed clinical social work (LCS W); licensed professional clinical mental health counselor (LPCC); or licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), A minimum of one year of clinical and chemical dependency counseling experience preferred.

SKILLS

Must have strong clinical assessment skills and have knowledge of therapeutic planning and techniques.
