Mesilla Valley Hospital is seeking an Inpatient Therapist to provide therapeutic services and support to patients with psychiatric or substance use concerns. The role emphasizes meeting biopsychosocial needs through individual, group and family therapy and crisis interventions.

You will join a dedicated team in a 120-bed facility serving New Mexico, with opportunities for supervision and professional growth within a large healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or a clinically related mental health field.
• New Mexico licenses: LPC, LMSW, LAT, LMHC, LCSW, LPCC or LMFT required/eligible.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical and chemical dependency counseling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group and family therapy to patients.
• Conduct crisis intervention and offer information and referrals as needed.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to address biopsychosocial needs of patients.

Position Summary:

The Inpatient Therapist provides therapeutic functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. Consultation, teaching, individual, group and family therapy, crisis intervention, information and referrals as needed are provided.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinically related mental health field and possess one of the following New Mexico licenses: licensed professional mental health counselor (LPC); licensed master's social worker (LMSW); licensed art therapist (LAT); or licensed mental health counselor (LMHC)', licensed clinical social work (LCSW); licensed professional clinical mental health counselor (LPCC); or licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT)

A minimum of one year of clinical and chemical dependency counseling experience preferred
