Job summary

Universal Health Services seeks a licensed therapist at Mesilla Valley Hospital to provide individualized, group, and family therapy, as well as crisis intervention and referrals as needed.

You will collaborate with care teams to address biopsychosocial needs, supporting patients toward emotional well-being and recovery within a behavioral health setting.

The position emphasizes clinical assessment, care planning, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or related mental health field and NM licenses: LPC, LMSW, LAT, LMHC, LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.
• Minimum of one year of clinical and chemical dependency counseling experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge of therapeutic planning and techniques.

Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY

The Therapist provides therapeutic functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. Consultation, teaching, individual, group and family therapy, crisis intervention, information and referrals as needed are provided.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinically related mental health field and possess one of the following New Mexico licenses: licensed professional mental health counselor (LPC); licensed master's social worker (LMSW); licensed art therapist (LAT); or licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), licensed clinical social work (LCS W); licensed professional clinical mental health counselor (LPCC); or licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), A minimum of one year of clinical and chemical dependency counseling experience preferred.

SKILLS

Must have strong clinical assessment skills and have knowledge of therapeutic planning and techniques.
