Job summary

Collin Springs is seeking a PHP Therapist to join our McKinney, TX behavioral health team. You will conduct individual and group therapy for patients with psychiatric or substance use issues, participate in treatment planning, and support discharge and after-care processes.

Family therapy and collaboration with physicians, UR, and nursing staff are key parts of the role. The position requires a Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling, a relevant license, and CPR/De-escalation certification

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling required.
• Experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients preferred.
• CPR and De-escalation certifications required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Current Clinical or Social Work license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for patients with mental health or substance use issues.
• Participate in treatment planning, discharge planning, and after-care processes.
• Provide family therapy to support continuity of care.
• Assist with patient vitals and urine drug screening as needed.
• Communicate with patients, families and referral sources in HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and nursing staff.
• Support with treatment updates or documentation for authorizations.
• Complete psychosocial assessments, risk scales and progress notes within timelines.
• Respond to crises and participate in de-escalation procedures.
