Job summary

Lifepoint Health's Collin Springs in McKinney, TX is seeking an Inpatient Therapist (PRN) to join our behavioral health team. You will provide compassionate therapy to inpatients and collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and discharge planners.

Requirements include a Master’s in Social Work or Counseling, a current license, and CPR/De-escalation certification. You’ll conduct individual and group therapy, support families, and ensure HIPAA compliance in a dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or equivalent.
• Current clinical or social work license as required by state regulations.
• CPR and De-escalation certification required or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.

Responsibilities

• Conducts individual and group therapy sessions to educate patients regarding psychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems.
• Displays active involvement in treatment planning process.
• Provides family session counseling to all patients to ensure appropriate communication and involvement of family members and support groups.
• Actively communicates with clients, families, and outside referral sources.
• Demonstrates proactive communication with those involved with the patient's treatment.
• Works well with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, utilization review and nursing staff members.
• Completes all documentation thoroughly, timely, and in accordance with hospital standards.
• Demonstrates knowledge of HIPAA regulations and abides by those standards.
