Job summary

Highlands Behavioral Health System in Littleton, CO, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a PHP Group Therapist to provide evidence-based group psychotherapy for adults with severe mental illness. Highlands Behavioral Health System is an 86 bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Littleton, CO. Highlands features individual units for adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs.

The PHP Group Therapist serves as core clinical provider within a structured, intensive behavioral health program treating adults with severe and persistent mental illness. The therapist delivers evidence-based group psychotherapy and psycho-education, conducts clinical assessments, monitors safety and treatment response, collaborates in a multidisciplinary environment to support patient stabilization and fundamentalimprovement

Qualifications

Requirements:

Education - Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field such as counseling or psychology

Experience - Previous experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.

Licensure - LCSW, or LPC preferred

This is a full-time position Monday-Friday. One year of experience working with this population required. Lisence preferred (LPC,LCSW) however license eligable will be considered with appropriate background/experience. Some experience with substance use/abuse desirable.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification within 30 days of employment and successful completion of training in Handle with Care. Certification training may be obtained during new hire orientation.
