Job summary

Lightmatter is hiring a Photonics Hardware Validation Engineer to join our Validation team in Mountain View. You will drive photonics testing, characterization, and validation of silicon photonics-based optical interconnect products, collaborating with device, hardware, software, and design teams.

You will bring hands-on lab experience with electro-optic testing, chip bring-up, and bench test setups, and contribute to test plans, automation, and documentation to ensure quality and performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE, Physics, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with electro-optic testing and characterization in a lab.
• Familiarity with PCB design and hardware testing.
• Ability to script for automation and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Understand chip specifications and lead bring-up, testing, and validation of optical interconnect products.
• Contribute to test plan development, bench setup, equipment configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Design, Software, and hardware teams on electro-optic, link-level testing in the lab.
