Job summary

Keysight Technologies is seeking a Photonics Test Development & Solutions Engineer to define, automate, and improve wafer-level silicon photonics test strategies and infrastructure. This role translates customer requirements into scalable automated test plans that can be executed by photonics technicians.

Qualifications

• Define, evolve, and own automated wafer-level test campaigns translating stakeholder requirements into repeatable, accurate tests.
• Develop scripts in C#, Python, and MATLAB to scale automation, data analysis, and repeatability.
• Define calibration and alignment methodologies for complex electro-optical test systems.
• Define reference measurements, guardbands, and pass/fail criteria reflecting performance objectives.
• Diagnose systemic failure modes and drive corrective actions across software and infrastructure.
• Distill complex measurement results and large data sets into actionable customer insights.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop automated wafer-level test plans using LCA, Velox, TAP, and the Photonic Application Suite.
• Develop RF and optical calibration methodologies, alignment algorithms, and reference measurements.
• Integrate and evolve instrument drivers, automation frameworks, and control software.
• Act as technical escalation point, analyze failure logs, test data, and documentation to identify root causes and drive actions.
• Own test data analysis and reporting, maintain long-term result databases, and synthesize insights for customers and internal teams.
