Job summary

Keysight Technologies Inc. is seeking a Photonics Test Development & Solution Engineer to define, automate, and improve wafer‑level photonics test strategies and infrastructure.

You will translate customer requirements into scalable automated test plans and own calibration methodologies, alignment routines, and data analysis to deliver actionable insights. You will collaborate with technicians and measurement scientists to ensure test accuracy, scalability, and reproducibility across labs,

Qualifications

• Define, evolve, and own automated wafer level test campaigns.
• Develop scripts in C#, Python, and MATLAB to scale automation and data analysis.
• Develop and validate calibration and alignment methodologies for complex electro‑optical test systems.
• Define reference measurements, guardbands, and pass/fail criteria reflecting performance objectives.
• System‑level understanding of multi‑instrument test stations, including hardware, software, motion control, and automation interactions.
• Diagnose systemic failure modes and drive corrective actions across software, procedures, and infrastructure.
• Ability to distill complex measurement results and large data sets into actionable insights for customers and internal teams.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, including technician‑ready procedures.
• Cross‑functional collaboration with technicians, measurement scientists, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop automated wafer-level test plans translating stakeholder requirements into repeatable, accurate campaigns.
• Create and validate RF/optical calibration methods and alignment algorithms.
• Integrate instrument drivers, automation frameworks, and control software for deployment readiness.
• Analyze failure logs and test data to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
• Own test data analysis and reporting, maintaining long-term result databases for traceability.
• Synthesize results into meaningful insights for customers and internal teams while improving test infrastructure.
