Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking an Optical/Photonic Systems Engineer to design, model, analyze, and test optical, electro-optical, and opto-mechanical systems and components.

Responsibilities include developing specs, tolerances, simulations, and test procedures, and applying methods to verify design requirements across photonics projects. The role involves leading cross-functional teams, expanding facilities, and driving continuous improvement while ensuring manufacturability and cost

Qualifications

  • Four-year engineering degree (BS) from an accredited college.
  • Experience in high-volume electro-optical manufacturing and test concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Join a team of engineers and mentors guiding implementation of leading-edge technologies.
  • Provide vision and direction for photonics initiatives to address emerging needs.
  • Lead and develop a team with a strong work ethic and curiosity.
  • Support equipment and facilities expansion and process capability monitoring.
  • Drive product and process optimization for manufacturability, cycle time, and cost reductions.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and readiness reviews.
